Wilhelm Caspar Oddo is a serial Entrepreneur with a passion for education, Children, and Youth. In love with Environment, Health & Humanity. He started NLab Innovation Academy which is a skills building project intended to bridge the digital divide, eliminate social exclusion, promote independent living, enhance social, educational and employment opportunities for young people of all abilities and gender.
Wilhelm’s big dream is to build an innovative and creative generation of young people who are solving community challenges, Also he advocates for gender equality by grooming boys and girls to respect each other and know they are equally important and capable of accomplishing anything.
He is also a writer and a blogger. He writes about life, Inspirational writings and short stories. His current work includes LAWAMA (Novel) and Hatua kwa hatua (One step at a time).
Wilhelm co-founded Ushauri which is a virtual mentoring platform youth in EAfrica to connect to business mentors to help them grow their startups/innovations. He also Co – founded Bribed, a mobile app that fights corruption and is a writer and public speaker, 2015 Ambassador for United Republic Of Tanzania at One Young World, YALI EA Fellow, Currently, Program Coordinator and Mentor at Apps and Girls Foundation.
He previously worked with Kampala International University as Tutorial Assistance, also worked with number of companies and NGO’s on different projects like Book by Books and Computer Facilities. His roles ranged from facilitator, trainer, project manager, researcher and Mentor. Currently He is working as a trainer and mentor at Apps and Girls foundation.
Carolyne EkyarisiimaProgram Manager
Carolyne Ekyarisiima, is a Mandela Washington Fellow , social entrepreneur and the founder of the Apps and Girls , a social enterprise that works to bridge the tech gender gap in Africa by empowering girls aged 10-18 years with the SupperPower of CODE to become effective leaders and TECH drivers using Technology to solve challenges in their communities . Carolyne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Masters in Information Systems.
She is a Tigo and Reach for change Digital change maker and was awarded a certificate of achievement in 2014 for her great efforts in improving children’s lives through innovation & digital technology at the Hackathon Prototype Change 2014 Sweden, MalikiaWanguvu2017 award recipient recognized for her great contribution in the STEM sector in Tanzania, 2017 Winner of NextGen franchising and Apps and Girls was awarded by UNDP and Sahara sparks for its devotion and persistence in supporting and inspiring ladies in Technology in Tanzania.
Further more Carolyne is a judge at First Global Robotics competition 2017 and a mentor at Africa Entrepreneurship award and First Global Robotics Competiton. Gloria Clement received her Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Morogoro – Tanzania. After graduation, Gloria worked with Tanzania Bureau of Standards as an intern. While at Campus, she started her own initiative called STEM Rockies (www.stemrockies.com) which to expose young girls to STEM fields and encouraging those who are interested to follow their hearts and minds.
Gloria is a 2017 / 2018 Teen Advisor at Girl Up program.
At NLab Gloria is a fundraising Officer who leads our fundraising activities (Both offline and online), providing strategic guidance and working in partnership with our supporters to make our goals successful.
Gloria fell in love with children, gender, and humanity when she was only a teenager. Inspired at a Code camp led by OUFLab currently NLab, Gloria quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work. provides support to our Capacity Building Services team and is happy spending her days keeping Tanzania an amazing place to live.
Michael MahizaCommunications & Outreach
Michael Yohana received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Uganda, in 2010. After graduation, Michael has worked with different Media houses, companies and organization as Marketing personnel, Communication officer/expert, Public relations officer, and radio presenter.
Gabriel GermanusElectronics & Hardware
Gabriel Germanus is a Computer Science graduate from Kampala International University, holds a Diploma in computer Science and Certificate in Information Technology, Certificate of Computer Maintenance and Electronics from the Vocational Educational and Training Authority (VETA).
He is highly experienced PC technician with a strong background in software/hardware computer repair (field and lab) and IT network system administration.
Qualified for the following:
– Troubleshooting, analyzing and repairing problems of computer elements such as desktop computers, laptops and various components/peripherals of an IT network,
– Performing computer installation and operating system configuration in designated networks. -Administering and monitoring the performance of LAN/WAN network using remote connection tools.
